Structure file formats
Reseek supports the following structure file formats, which are recognized by their
filename extensions:
PDB Old Protein Data Bank format (.pdb or
.ent)
MMCIF New Protein Data Bank format (.cif or
.mmcif)
Reseek C-alpha format Text with aa+coordinates (.cal).
This format is convenient for manual editing and manipulating with scripts, e.g. extracting a subset.
Reseek binary compressed C-alpha (.bca).
This format is the smallest and fastest to load.
Compressed structure files in
.gz format are supported, e.g. .pdb.gz.
